Persian Poetry Sunday

Last Sunday, I posted some poetry from Omar Khayyam, and I think I'm going to turn that into a Sunday night thing- a little inspirational Persian poetry to end the weekend and start the new week off right.

Perhaps I'm a bit partial to Khayyam because my mom is also from Neyshabur, but I found another poem by him tonight that seemed to be perfect for the end of the week.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

My friend, do not worry uselessly about this world
Do not worry needlessly about this worn-out world
As all that has been is passed, and all that will be is not
Be merry, do not worry about what has been and what has not yet been.
