Be warned, like many Iranian movies, it is an intense drama involving family life, but it's definitely worth seeing. Bahman Radan plays Ali, a successful santoor (traditional Persian instrument) musician and his wife Hanieh (Golshifteh Farahani), is a pianist. Their relationship starts to fall apart when Ali develops a serious heroin addiction. I don't want to give too much away, but you definitely see a seedier side of Tehran along with the heartbreaking reality of drug addition as Ali's family tries to rehabilitate him.
Bonus- this is also a good movie for Persian language students. Not only are there a lot of basic phrases, but also a lot of idioms! Click on the link below to watch it with English subtitles. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
