"Bring your voice down! Divār moosh dāreh, moosh ham goosh dāreh." I was watching my favorite Iranian TV show when I heard this proverb that I hadn't heard in a long time:
دیوار موش داره، موش هم گوش داره / divār moosh dāreh, moosh ham goosh dāreh/ walls have mice, and mice have ears
In English, walls have ears, but in Persian, it's the mice in the walls that have ears. I suppose that's more logical.
